School Spirit
Get involved ...
We do! Studies have shown that spirit programs help kids do better in school. They strengthen the Ben-Hem community, helping kids feel as though they belong. They also help create a feeling of pride in the success of the school and encourage kids to do what they can to make Ben-Hem a better place to learn. The Ben-Hem PTO encourages kids to show their school spirit by:
Sponsoring Theme Days such as Hat Day, Sports Day, and Crazy Hair Day.
Holding School-wide Spirit Days where students and teachers wear the school colors (gold, black and white) and special Ben-Hem activities are planned.
Having a Spirit Shirt Design Contest where students submit their Ben-Hem drawings to be voted on and used by the PTO for the annual fundraising T-Shirt.
Making Spirit Wear available to all students, parents and teachers, at a reasonable price.

Every Friday is Spirit Day at Ben-Hem!
Students can show their school spirit by wearing Gold, Black and White to school on Friday's. Have fun and be creative! Spirit Wear is always a good way to show your school pride. Some other ideas for showing your school spirit are:
Wear different colored socks
Braid ribbons in your hair
Replace your shoe-laces with Black and Gold ribbons or laces
Take an old white t-shirt and draw your own Ben-Hem design on it
Paint your fingernails Gold, Black & White
Or come up with your own creative idea!
