Thanks to a $4,000 Natick Education Foundation grant and a year of hard work by the Seed to Harvest Committee, the Living Lab is open for business!

The lab features a greenhouse, a covered outdoor classroom with three picnic tables, five raised and accessible garden beds (one for each grade level), and a chalkboard weather station with seating.

On Friday, September 18, 2015, the Seed to Harvest Committee had four classrooms in the Living Lab learning about carrots, worms and lettuce.  In the next week they will have 15 more classes participating in outdoor activities focused on healthy eating, gardening, science and fun.

Spearheaded by Committee Chair Krissy Fernandes, the Living Lab is an amazing addition to the enrichment programs offered through the PTO.

The Grand Opening of the STH Living Lab will be October 6, 2015 at the first PTO meeting of the year starting at 7:00 pm.  Parents, teachers and administrators are invited to experience the space firsthand, grab a refreshment and mingle with others in our community.
